It's the first robot in space to fix itself. Dextre, a robotic part of the Canadarm2 on the International Space Station, is quite the handyman, able to use tools to make repairs in space.

This animated video from the Canadian Space Agency shows how Dextre makes repairs, switching out two faulty cameras on the Canadarm2 and the mobile base for ones that are able to transmit clear pictures. Dextre's success signals a new direction of having robotic devices make repairs in space rather than have astronauts make spacewalks to perform maintenance.
