It's the first video of a polar bear's life from this threatened species' perspective.

This week's video comes from the U.S. Geological Survey who captured footage in April 2014 in the Beaufort Sea, north of Alaska. In the video, a female polar bear, equipped with a camera on her collar, plays with a seal carcass, swims in cold Arctic waters and interacts with a potential mate. The images are a step towards helping scientists learn about polar bears and how they are responding to global warming.
