With the polar vortex chilling much of Canada, the cold temperatures are on many Canadians' minds. This winter has brought many unexpected surprises, including thundering frost quakes, breathtakingly beautiful ice volcanoes, and horrendous ice storms.

This week's video comes from Taha Tabish, who recorded a blizzard that hit Iqaluit, Nunavut on Jan. 7. It was the worst storm in the area since 2007, shutting down schools and government offices. Watch as the 135 km/h winds blast across the city.
