I admit it — I’ve caused my share of "bear jams." Like many drivers in Banff and Jasper National Parks, whenever I spot a grizzly or black bear, I immediately stop along the road and start snapping pictures, oblivious to the traffic chaos I've caused.

Alberta's National Parks are great places for seeing wildlife, as long as you keep a good distance from the bears, deer, elk and bighorn sheep that roam the Rockies.
