It's not the Bay of Fundy with its world-record-holding tides, or the CN Tower. It's (surprisingly) not Banff National Park. No, the top tourist attraction in Canada, at least according to this map, is Niagara Falls.
Created by U.K.-based mobile couponing app Vouchercloud and based on TripAdvisor ratings, the global map displays each country's top-rated activity or must-see site. The map is also colour-coded based on whether the top attraction is of natural, historic or religious significance — or just for fun.
Some of the top attractions are fairly obvious: the Great Wall of China, Brazil's Iguazu Falls, and the Musée D'Orsay in Paris, France are undeniably spectacular and noteworthy. Others are head-scratchers. (Sure, do the Harry Potter Studio Tour in London, U.K., but while you're there, make sure you also peep Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, and the Tower of London, for a start.)
And of course, to pick just one must-see site in a country the size of Canada is to miss hundreds of other wonders, so let us ask you: what would you consider to be the top attraction in our country? What do you think of the other picks, and how many have you visited?
