Christine Todd’s class from Duncan Cran Elementary School in Fort St. John, B.C., won the top school prize in this year’s Classroom Energy Diet Challenge, but with more than 40 prizes worth a total of $40,000 awarded, they weren’t the only winners. Kindergarten to Grade 12 students from 1,275 classrooms across Canada registered and completed more than 1,600 challenges. New this year was a $10,000 prize to help a school reduce its carbon footprint, won by grades 7 and 8 from Saint Mary School in Huntsville, Ont.
