Avalon Peninsula

Recreation
The serene countryside of the Avalon Peninsula is an outdoor enthusiast's paradise. You can choose to spend your days hiking, biking or sea kayaking along the breathtaking coast. There are many provincial parks with beaches and camping facilities, including Butter Pot Provincial Park (just east of Holyrood) and La Manche Provincial Park (in Cape Broyle). For the more historically inclined, some parks also combine the beauty of the outdoors with interpretations of the region's rich history.
