Scuttled after being mined by French government agents during protests against nuclear testing in 1985, the Canadian Greenpeace ship, Rainbow Warrior is now an artificial reef for marine life at the bottom of Matauri Bay in New Zealand. Rainbow Warrior II now sails the seas, continuing Greenpeace’s environmental work.

 


The Canadian Moose Ice Hockey Club has played on an open rink in the mountains near Alexandra, New Zealand. The club tours annually, and the players, ranging in age from 18 to 62, have set up teams and leagues in a string of arenas across Australia and New Zealand.
