Victoria to Kamloops - Trans Canada Highway Route The Trans Canada Ecotour routes are divided into landscape regions, each with a map showing the locations of selected points of interest. Each point of interest is numbered and the distances between points are provided. For some points, the nearest exit number is given as a location reference. The Victoria-Kamloops Ecotour is designed for either easterly or westerly travel. Two routes are described, especially helpful for those making a return trip. The TCH Route explores Vancouver Island; then follows divided highway with access to Vancouver and Hwy 7, the alternate route, at several points. Beyond Hope, the undivided highway twists up the Fraser and Thompson canyons, and on to Kamloops. On a round trip, travel the canyons from east to west for better and safer viewing.
