Starting in the 10th Century, Norse Vikings sailed from Greenland and built their settlement in what would be called L’Anse aux Meadows, Newfoundland. This marked the beginning of the next stage in Canadian history.
About 500 years after the Vikings came, waves of different people from all over the world began sailing to North America to settle what would soon become Canada!
