Canada’s Confederation was signed July 1, 1867. This meant that the provinces and territories at the time joined to become one country with one government. But, they weren’t there yet! After all, Confederation only brought together four provinces. There were still six others and three territories! In 1999, the third territory was finally introduced into Canada – Nunavut. The landscape of Canada’s history is always changing!
