Imagine how you get to school in the morning or how fresh fruit gets to the grocery store every day. That’s transportation, which is part of our economy’s secondary industries! Transportation could be anything from great trains to 18-wheeler trucks to high-flying airplanes. Without them, we would have to rely on everything locally!

And, you know that desk you use, or even the cars and buses we see almost everyday? We wouldn’t have those if it weren’t for manufacturing, another part of our secondary industries. Manufacturers, like carpenters and car-makers, take raw materials and make something new!
