Korean oil spill threatens important bird areas

Tens of thousands of volunteers and soldiers have battled for 10 days to clean up thousands of tons of crude oil in South Korea's worst oil spill that is threatening two Important Bird Areas visited by wintering and migrating birds, including Eurasian oystercatcher, shelduck and the vulnerable Saunders's gull.
