David Hik

David Hik is a professor of ecology at Simon Fraser University. He studies the dynamics of mountain and Arctic environments, the impacts of climate change, and determinants of social-ecological resilience.  He is co-editor of the annual Alpine Club of Canada’s State of the Mountains Report, and an instructor for Mountains 101, a free, interdisciplinary online course (MOOC). He is a Fellow of the RCGS, and recipient of the RCGS Martin Bergmann Medal for Excellence in Arctic Leadership.
