Alanna Mitchell

Alanna Mitchell is a Canadian journalist, author and playwright. She is fascinated with the intersection of science, art and society. Her second book, Sea Sick: The Global Ocean in Crisis, was an international bestseller that won the U.S.-based Grantham Prize for excellence in environmental journalism in 2010. Mitchell has since turned it into one-woman play that she continues to perform in Canada and around the world.
