Canada is at once both a geographical marvel and a historical horn o’ plenty. But put these two in a car together and just watch the sparks fly! Follow History and Geography as they battle it out for bragging rights — right across the nation.
Hi. I’m History.
Here’s the thing. Anything that has happened in this country worth talking about revolves around the efforts, innovations and interactions of people. Everything else is just empty flora and fauna. I mean, if a tree falls in the forest and there’s nobody around to hear it, does anybody care? No. Because it’s just a tree.
Canada’s history is what makes it great. End of story.
Hi. I’m Geography.
And I’m a little sick and tired of people and events grabbing all the attention. The fact is, geography provides the raw resources from which history is made. What’s on our flag, a Timmy’s cup? No. A maple leaf! And our coins? A moose, a beaver, polar bear and loon. That’s right. Canada is about natural grandeur, not who did what to whom.
