There will be one random draw for the prize of a one year subscription to Canadian Geographic. If the selected winner currently receives Canadian Geographic, one year will be added to their current subscription.

The winner will be drawn in Ottawa at 9 a.m. E.S.T. on Friday, January 7, 2005. The winner will be notified by 5 p.m. on Friday, January 14, 2005.

ELIGIBILY
To enter and be eligible to win, you must be a resident of Canada, of the age of majority in the province or territory where you reside, and not an employee of, a member of the immediate family of, or domiciled with an employee of any division of Canadian Geographic, The Royal Canadian Geographical Society, Key Publishers or their subsidiaries affiliates, and agencies. No purchase is necessary. Only one entry per person please.

PRIZE
In order to win, the selected entrant must first correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited, mathematical, skill-testing question administered by telephone, e-mail or by mail.

The winner will be contacted by Canadian Geographic to make arrangements for the awarding of their prize.

Prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable or extendible, nor can it be redeemed for cash or combined with any other promotion. By entering, each winner agrees that their name and address may be used for further contact by Canadian Geographic.

The odds of being selected will depend on the total number of eligible entries received. All entries become the property of Canadian Geographic, which assumes no responsibility for lost, delayed or misdirected entries. Entrants agree to abide by the contest rules and the decisions of the contest organizers, which are final.
